As above, either an SLR Gorilla Pod or a Manfrotto BeFree, because in the best traditions of STW that's what I have ( and they are pretty useful ).

Dan Milner's recommendation was the Ultrapod 2. I've just ordered one for myself after giving up hope of finding my old, smaller ultrapod.
